Utah’s Resorts Earn Top Spots … Again

And the number one goes to … one of Utah’s resorts in 10 of 20 SKI Magazine reader survey categories.

SKI Magazine annually asks their readers to evaluate the U.S. skiing and boarding resorts on 20 categories and single out those with the best attributes. And, every year, Utah’s resorts score big in most of the categories, winning the number one spot in several (this year we won number one in 10 of the 20 categories).

For overall best place to ski, Deer Valley reclaimed its number one ranking (for the fifth year in a row). This award is an accumulation of all scores in all categories. There is also a category called “Overall Satisfaction,” in which Alta consistently wins the number one spot.

Deer Valley was also ranked number one in “Weather,” “Grooming,” “On-mountain Food,” “Dining,” “Lodging,” and “Service,” and Alta won for “Snow,” “Character” and was named “Top Skiers Mountain.”

Powder Mountain won hands down in “Value,” and Park City Mountain Resort was named “Best Resort to Ski with your Kids.”
